Pricing, menus, and entertainment list for ALL the below options are not available online. Contact us for more information and to check date availability! Please, No dogs or other pets at the Ranch. Host your event at any time of day or schedule your activity just before sunset for an experience you and your guests will never forget! All party sites will be complete with picnic table seating, restrooms, a bonfire or two, and a classic western setting such as: our “mock” Old West Town located at Headquarters, or, the rustic dance floor and stage located at Coyote Howl – one of our remote Private Sites! Dress it up or down any way you would like! Grill your own food, have your cowboy chow dropped off, or cooked to order on one of our mesquite grills with your onsite caterer! Add countless entertainment options like our Strolling Balladeer, Western Dance Instruction, or Rope with a Cowboy for the “cherry on top” of your perfect evening! Discuss your event specifics with our office staff for a customized experience!
Hayride & Cookout Requires a MINIMUM of 15 Adults/No MAX - Private Groups Only Hayride to a remote Private Site ▪ Hayride at Headquarters Our most popular cookout activity is by far our hayrides! Great for anyone and everyone, our horse or mule drawn hayride can take you through 1280 acres to a remote private cookout site or take the 30-minute loop back to your party at MacDonald’s Ranch – Headquarters! These wagons can seat 20-25 adults each and cushioned with loose hay for more comfortable seating. No matter your destination this peaceful tour will show you some of the best scenery our landscape has to offer! Renting a remote Private Site and providing your own food to cook yourself: your items can be transported to the site on your wagon ride. Pack all items in easy to move boxes or bags. Please inquire with the Office about what is recommended to bring for your cookout!
Dress for the weather! Long pants, closed toed shoes, and a hat are always recommended if you explore the Ranch! All Sites and activities are outdoors! Dress for the weather before you arrive! Pants or jeans will protect your legs from the elements during the winter and summer months. Layering tops and shirts may help prepare for unpredictable warm or cold weather, which you can determine when you arrive! Blankets are a great idea on the hayride during winter time! Bring a drink! Wet your whistle! Bring a cooler for your party site with bottled water and other beverages for your hayride! Please, NO alcoholic beverages unless provided by our professional bartenders. Available for catered cookouts only. Hot coffee or tea is great for the winter and water is always recommended during the spring and summer. We recommend jeans because our desert is still in its natural state – complete with brush and cacti along the trails and, of course, that notorious Arizona sun. Jeans will protect your legs from the elements during the winter and summer months. Layering tops and shirts may help prepare for unpredictable warm or cold weather, which you can determine what to wear on the ride when you check-in. Expensive jewelry, big floppy hats, or valuable items that may easily get lost, are better left at home. A bottle of water for each rider. Please, NO ice or food on the ride! Each rider will have a holder on their saddle for a 20 – 24oz water bottle and a small camera or phone. NO Camelbaks or water pouches. During the warmer months, having an extra bottle of water before and after your tour is highly recommended! A mounting block or “step” is provided to assist with getting on your horse.
